Background
Paul advises
a wide range of clients on matters as diverse as
personal and family affairs to assisting businesses
through to major corporates on matters such as
financing, tax, leasing, joint ventures, terms of trade,
major asset purchases, contracts and contracting and
effective structuring. Advice to major corporate
clients has involved some novel and uncharted areas
requiring substantial research and development, Paul
delights in creating tailor made solutions for complex
legal problems.
Paul is intimately
familiar with property and leasing law and requirements. Paul
represents a number of very active property developers and
investors.
Paul is heavily
involved in trusts and asset protection, as well as providing
advice on local government law.
Paul has also spent
many years working on Iwi and Treaty of Waitangi related issues
and now works with a number of Iwi on the commercial structuring
needs they have.
Outside of the office,
Paul is a trustee on the Omata School Board and a trustee of the
Atawhai Industries Trust. In his spare time Paul enjoys
developing his lifestyle block as well as cycling and photography. |
