Background
Hamish joined the firm of W. Charles
Deem in 1952 and became a Partner is 1955 when the Firm
name was changed to Deem & Shearer. Hamish became a
sole practitioner in 1956 and continued until 1978 when
he was joined by his son Geoff.
Following the merger with Govett Quilliam,
Hamish retired as a Partner and is now a Consultant. He has
extensive experience in conveyancing, particularly in respect to
rural and farming matters.
Hamish also specialises in the field of wills,
estates and administration. In earlier years he acted for the
Inglewood local bodies until they merged with the New Plymouth
District Council.
Hamish is well known in sporting circles and
has acted for most of the local sports bodies including golf,
cricket, rugby, netball and bowls and also the local chartered
club.
He is a life member of the Inglewood United
Rugby Football Club and the Taranaki District Golf Association. |
