Geoff Shearer
Geoff joined his father Hamish in the practice of Deem & Shearer at Inglewood during 1979 and became a Partner in 1981. Following the merger of Deem & Shearer and Govett Quilliam on 1 January 2004, Geoff is now the Resident Partner at the Inglewood Office.
Expertise
Geoff’s speciality is rural law and he has built up an extensive knowledge in the areas of farm conveyancing, company and trust structures for farm ownership and estate planning for farmers.
Geoff also has considerable experience in all residential and commercial conveyancing areas and the formation and administration of family trusts.
Outside of Govett Quilliam
Geoff is a trustee of the Inglewood Development Trust, an honorary solicitor to Taranaki Golf Association and solicitor to many local sporting organisations and schools.
Personal Interests
Geoff is a keen golfer and enjoys fishing, tennis, rugby and cricket.
