Troy Wano
Troy Wano joined the civil litigation and employment team at Govett Quilliam in March 2011 after returning to Taranaki with his wife and four children from the UK. Troy became an associate of the firm on 1 December 2011.
Expertise
Troy specialises in general civil and commercial litigation and employment law. Prior to returning to New Plymouth he worked in the United Kingdom for the London office of a large US national commercial law firm and a top 100 UK firm. He has also worked for a large commercial national firm based in Auckland.
Troy has an extensive background in general civil and commercial litigation, including breach of contract, employment, insolvency, construction and property law, debt recovery, banking and finance, partnership and company law disputes. As well as mediation experience Troy has been involved in proceedings from the Employment Relations Authority and District Court level through to the Employment Court, High Court and UK Court of Appeal and House of Lords .
Personal Interests
Troy is a keen sportsperson and is attempting to relearn how to surf. He coaches his eldest son’s soccer team.
