About Us

Our firm has been in practice in Taranaki for over one and a quarter centuries.  Govett Quilliam has a long and proud history and is the largest firm in the province. The firm provides a full range of progressive legal services to clients all over the country.

Govett Quilliam is the largest law firm in Taranaki.  Our range of services is the most comprehensive you will find in our region.  We are confident we have the ability and capacity to meet all of your needs.

Grown within the region, our firm has always been conscious of the drivers, imperatives and environmental conditions that Taranaki's people and organisations must operate within.  Today, while giving credence to the past, we are future focused; we know the challenges, constraints and opportunities facing our communities and are committed to assisting our clients with them.

Our practice of the law focuses on our clients; tailoring our approach to the overall outcomes and objectives the client is looking for and developing relationships for the long term.  We provide advice to clients all over the country, but temper it with a Taranaki perspective; a belief that our advice should be practical, timely and pragmatic.

We are proud of our ability to provide a diverse range of legal services to our extensive client base and of our ability to adapt and think progressively in order to keep pace with our clients' needs and requirements as they evolve.

We are committed to our clients and to helping them achieve the best possible outcomes, whatever their legal needs.

We will work with you to ensure you achieve the best possible outcomes and receive the best possible legal service.

Thanks to everyone who attended. We are looking to hold the next event towards the end of September/beginning of October.

Flags to fly again over engineering company

24/08/2015

ITL is a substantial employer in the oil, gas marine and industrial sectors providing highly skilled engineering design and build solutions. The company’s employees have come to New Plymouth from all over the world. When the GQ Immigration team saw that flags reflecting employee’s nationalities had been stolen from outside the workplace, replacement flags were gifted by the GQ Immigration team as a thank you to ITL for its great community involvement.
